AUDIO & PRODUCTION SERVICES
The Columbus Theatre in Providence, RI, has undergone numerous changes since its construction in 1926. It operated as Providence’s premier vaudeville and silent film theater for decades. After multiple redesigns and changes in management and programming, the Columbus was reopened in 2012 by The Columbus Cooperative, operating a 200-capacity theater in addition to the main 800-capacity theater. For the last 12 years, the Columbus Theatre has hosted hundreds of events, from sold-out concerts featuring award-winning recording artists to stand-up comedy, special film screenings, and even political rallies.
Sound Advice has designed and installed PA systems in the large theater, meeting the budgetary needs of each performance, and acted as the primary audio and production provider for all programming in the main theater. And provided supplemental production support and staffing in their 200-capacity room, hosting countless local, regional, and national touring acts over the last decade.
