Westerly Summer Pops

For 43 years, the Chorus of Westerly has joined forces with the Rhode Island Philharmonic and the Artillery Company of Newport to provide New Englanders with a free summer concert at the beautiful Wilcox Park in the center of downtown Westerly, RI. While the Summer Pops initially began in 1981 as a kickoff for the Chorus of Westerly’s first-ever international concert tour, the event was immediately embraced by the community and has grown exponentially in popularity with over 675,000 having attended the summer pops over the years. In 2024, Sound Advice was approached by the Chorus of Westerly to provide audio, lighting and production services for the beloved summer concert, featuring the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra, the Chorus of Westerly with Broadway star Adam Jacobs, the Artillery Company of Newport, and a spectacular finale by the legendary Fireworks by Grucci.
