Exclusive Production Provider
Built in 1926, the Greenwich Odeum was a staple of downtown East Greenwich, Rhode Island, operating as a vaudeville theater until the early 2000s. Following its reopening in 2013, Sound Advice has been the primary audio, lighting, and production provider for the Greenwich Odeum, providing technical production for roughly 100 events a year, including concerts featuring legendary recording artists, theatrical performances, film screenings, stand-up comedy, and speaking events.
When Kevin Muoio, the president of the Odeum’s board of directors, first requested our services, we began deploying small-format speakers on an as-needed basis. Over the years, as funding increased, we started improving the Odeum’s production infrastructure under Sound Advice’s guidance. We installed rigging and hung our line array, installed theatrical lighting, and upgraded the venue’s tech package to comply with the demands of contemporary touring artists’ riders.
Since 2013, Sound Advice has built a partnership with the board of directors at the Odeum, operating as the venue’s exclusive production provider. From the talent buying process through show day, our staff of production managers and technicians handles all interfacing with touring production crews, provides audio and lighting packages that comply with each unique rider, sources all supplemental backline or production needs, and staffs the production crews needed to execute the event successfully.
